Environmental Graffiti

Spotted today on N 39th St in Fremont: unplanned Urban Agriculture.
This little corn plant sprouted in a small amount of soil underground, squeezed
through a storm drain, and survives only feet from heavy traffic.
Watch out Seattle, before long we might look like Detroit:

I'd call the little corn plant an artifact of a "counter narrative" of the city, that humans don't always prevail over nature.  We can also take it as a signal that we can harness the great adaptability of nature, even to cities.  Oh wait, that's already called Urban Agriculture.
