Snoose Junction

Railroad bridge circa 1914.  The construction of this bridge meant that the Great Northern RR was no longer routed through downtown Ballard.  Did this put an end to the snoose trade in Ballard?

This is the most of a railroad station I can find in Ballard. It has the sign "Ballard" and a staircase to about the height of a train. This station does not have easy access to any streets, making me think a railroad spur brought trains to central Ballard for loading/unloading after 1914. 57th St bridge in the background.

Tasteful contemporary architecture in lower Sunset Hill.

On the crest of Sunset Hill these large streetcar era houses still exude wealth.
