Mysterious Remnants - Discovery Park

With my newfound knowledge of the Seattle Municipal Street Railway, it's hard not to see remnants of it everywhere - or at least imagine I do.

The very quaint station shelter that sparked my curiosity while walking in Discovery Park.
But in fact, the origins of this structure are unclear.

It's amazing how well the 1933 streetcar/bus map lines up with Google Maps!  Station shelter marked with red arrow. Source
Either the cartographer lost track of scale in "Fort Lawton" or the station was a waiting area for a different type of transport. Alternatively, it could have been for streetcar passengers originally and later moved to its current location.

The mystery lives on!  Let me know if you have any clues!
